Student password manager on the Free tier
Students juggle school portals, email, banking, streaming, and first jobs — usually on an Android phone plus a Windows laptop and Chrome. AzAd Vault from AzAd Solutions is designed so Free stays useful: 500 items, 20 labels, 10 TOTP codes, Android autofill, encrypted attachments, backup history, and scheduled backups. You should not need a subscription to stop reusing “Password123” across campus sites.
Create a vault, import browser passwords via CSV, and turn on TOTP for email and banking where available. Optional Drive sync keeps phone and PC aligned with ciphertext only. Premium can wait until you hit Free caps or need Chrome passkeys, Archive, or a family seat under a parent’s Play purchase.
Habits that matter more than features
Unique passwords beat clever ones. Use the free on-site generators, store results in the vault, and run the security audit after import. Remember: AzAd Solutions cannot recover a forgotten master password. Write it down once in a safe place during setup, or use a strong passphrase you will actually remember — then rely on PIN/biometric for daily unlock.
Versions: Android 1.0.36, Windows 1.0.43, Chrome 1.1.0. Stay current from Play, azadvault.com, and the Chrome Web Store.
Honest limits for student life
No iOS client yet — iPhone-only students should look elsewhere for now. No multi-vault “school vs personal” split, no priority sync, no Android WebAuthn. Family seats share Premium, not shared parent/student item folders. If a parent wants visibility into accounts, that is a conversation and process issue — not a product sharing feature we pretend to offer.
