Memorable passphrases vs random strings
Passphrases built from several unrelated words are often easier to type and remember than dense symbol soup, while still providing strong entropy when words are chosen randomly. Diceware-style generators pick words using secure randomness so humans do not bias toward familiar phrases.
This tool embeds a compact wordlist and uses crypto.getRandomValues to select
4–8 words with your preferred separator. It is educational and convenient — for production
vault master passwords, longer wordlists (classic Diceware lists have thousands of entries)
provide more entropy per word. Treat this generator as a starting point, not a security audit.
Once you have a strong master passphrase, store site passwords in a dedicated vault instead of reusing the same phrase everywhere. AzAd Vault’s zero-knowledge design encrypts vault data on your device with Argon2id before optional Google Drive sync, so we never see plaintext secrets.
