When to use a random PIN
Numeric PINs are convenient for device unlock, banking app locks, and secondary gates — but short digit codes have far less entropy than long passwords. Prefer longer PINs (6–12) when the system allows it, combine with biometric unlock where available, and never reuse your vault master password as a PIN.
This generator draws each digit with crypto.getRandomValues so the sequence
is not influenced by predictable Math.random() patterns. Generation stays
on-device; we do not log or transmit the result.
