Import from LastPass to AzAd Vault

Export LastPass CSV and import on Android or Windows.

How-to as of September 2026. Export UI labels in LastPass can change — follow their current export help if menus differ.

Before you start

Install AzAd Vault on Android (v1.0.36) or Windows (v1.0.43) from AzAd Solutions. Create or unlock your vault and confirm you can make an encrypted backup. Keep your LastPass account accessible until you have verified the import. The Chrome extension (v1.1.0) is excellent for daily use after migration; LastPass CSV import is strongest on Android and Windows.

Steps

  1. Export a LastPass CSV. Sign in to LastPass in the browser or app, open account or advanced options, and export vault data as CSV. Store the file temporarily in a private folder — it contains plaintext secrets.
  2. Open Import in AzAd Vault. On Android or Windows, go to Tools → Import passwords (or the Windows import hub) and choose LastPass CSV.
  3. Select the CSV and confirm. Pick the exported file, review the item count preview if shown, and run the import into your unlocked vault.
  4. Spot-check and secure the export. Unlock several high-value logins, then delete or encrypt the CSV. Create a fresh .azvault backup.
  5. Optional: sync and harden. Enable Google Drive ciphertext sync if you want other devices updated. Run the security audit, add TOTP, and only then retire LastPass.

Tips and limits

Free allows 500 items / 20 labels / 10 TOTP — large LastPass vaults may need Premium or cleanup. Attachments, backup history, and scheduled backups are on Free. No multi-vault split after import; everything lands in your single vault. Shared LastPass folders do not become shared AzAd items — seats share Premium, vaults stay private.
