Offline password manager — sync is optional

Full local vault — Drive sync stays optional.

Use AzAd Vault fully offline

Google Drive sync is optional. AzAd Vault from AzAd Solutions works as a local zero-knowledge password manager on Android v1.0.36, Windows v1.0.43, and Chrome v1.1.0 without ever connecting to Drive. Encryption, autofill (Android), attachments, TOTP, and vault editing all function on device. That matters for air-gapped habits, travel SIMs, or anyone who distrusts cloud sync by default.

Free still includes encrypted backup with history and scheduled backups to locations you choose — offline does not mean “no backups.” Export .azvault files to external drives or folders you control. Losing the master password still means losing access; offline does not create a recovery backdoor.

When to enable Drive later

If you later want phone and PC aligned, sign in with Google and enable Drive ciphertext sync. Only encrypted blobs land in your personal Drive app folder. You can keep scheduled local backups as a second layer. Premium unlimited capacity, Chrome passkeys, Archive, and family seats remain Play-billed features whether or not you sync.

Multi-device without Drive means manually copying encrypted backups between machines — workable for single-user setups, tedious for frequent edits. Most people eventually enable sync; the important part is that the product does not force it on day one.

Gaps that still apply offline

No multi-vault, no priority sync, no Android WebAuthn. Offline Chrome still needs the extension installed locally. There is no web vault you open from an arbitrary browser without the app or extension. Platform coverage remains Android, Windows, and Chrome as of September 2026.

Start offline, import from another manager on Windows or Android, verify backups, then decide on Drive. That sequence keeps threat-model choices under your control.
