How this strength estimate works
Password “strength” meters are heuristics, not proofs. This checker scores length, character-set variety, and simple anti-patterns (common passwords, repeats, sequences). It intentionally never phones home — analysis happens with JavaScript on your page alone.
A green meter does not mean a password is safe forever. Compromised credentials, phishing, and reused logins defeat even long random strings. Prefer unique passwords stored in a vault, enable MFA or TOTP where available, and change credentials after known breaches.
